At the end of 2017, it was reported that the average cost of a wedding in the United Kingdom was £27,000. This special day should be one of the happiest of your lives, but it will also almost, certainly be one of the most expensive.
But, once the day is over and you have had the ceremony, eaten the wedding breakfast, cut the cake and danced the night away, the only tangible thing that you will have left to remember this momentous occasion is the photographs that your photographer has taken. This means that choosing the correct photographer is one of the most important decisions that you will make and is probably something that should not be skimped on. Imagine how disappointed you would be upon receipt of a series of low quality, or average photographs, once the day itself is over, and there is no going back? Every photographer has their own style and it is imperative that you choose one whose style you delight in.
It is important to have a rapport with your wedding photographer, knowing that you can trust them to capture all those important moments, leaving you to enjoy your wedding and spending valuable time with all your guests. It is, after all, those photographs that you will look back at and cherish for many years to come.
I consider it a great privilege to be asked to photograph a wedding, to be allowed to capture the start of your lives together. Every one is unique and personal, and special to the two of you and your wedding photographs should be too.
